Sample Itinerary

10 Day Workshop

Day 1: Pick up at Venice Marco Polo (Airport), There are frequent connections from the airport to a waterbus terminal (No minibus pickup as vehicles are prohibited) and the Grand Canal, giving you easy access to your hotel. There you will be welcomed and shown to your accomodation. Meet tutor and rest of group, evening meal at the hotel.
Day 2: After Breakfast: our tutor talks about some of the techniques you may use during the course of the week and gives a short demonstration. We then go to todays location of S, Trovaso, One of Phil Hobbs' favourate locations. Lunch at a local Taverna, continue work through the afternoon. Return to hotel to relax, freshen up and prepare for a passeggiata (Stroll) and evening meal
Day 3: Continue from day 2: Continue from day 2, lunch at local taverna, continue in the afternoon
Day 4: Chioggia: A trip to the picturesque working fishing village of Chioggia, with a wide section of subjects for you to choose from - the large fishing vessels ("barca") in the canal Lombardo, or the small, colourful, traditional fishing boats on the Vena Canal.
Day 5: Free day: eander through the streets of Venice and soak up the atmosphere. Perhaps visit one or more of the islands on the lagoon, the choice is yours. Meet up in the evening for dinner and an evening of music - An opera concerto at Scuola Grande di Teodoro with orchestral singers in 18th century Venetian costumes.
Day 6: A boat trip to Burano: An island of simple but colourful houses, reflecting on shimmering canals. Lunch at local trattoria. Continue in afternoon, returning to our hotel for evening meal
Day 7: On location at the Salute / Giovanni Paulo: Opportunity to capyure some distinktive Venetion architecture. Early finish on day 7 for appraisal of your work with tutor, and feedback of your workshop and experience with Tuscany in the Frame. Celebratory evening meal.
Day 8: Transfer to Rome Fiumicino (Da Vinci) Departure for Marco Polo airport in the morning.

Included in the price is a pass to allow you to travel on all water taxis and buses to all painting locations. Passport photo required.

Alilaguna Lines

Alilaguna ia a direct passenger waterbus service between Venice and its airport. it is the easiest and fastest way to reach the city centre. Two lines every 30 minutes provide a direct shuttle service between Tessera - the location of Venice' airport - and the citys main waterbus station.

The charming route through the lagoon allows passengers to enjoy the beauty and the variety of the journey.
