Echoes of ancient civilisations are to be found in every part of this extraordinary island. Sicily has been occupied over the centuries by Greeks, Romans, Bizantines, Arabs, Normans and Spanish all of whom have left traces and influences which can be seen in the Sicily of today. This is a very special part of Italy, an island with a unique sense of mystery and romance. Archaeologically this is a fascinating country. The landscape is varied and dramatic, and the Sicilian people are friendly and welcoming.
Our 7 day workshops are based in the south west region at Selinunte, one of the largest archaeological parks in Europe, the old city dating back to 7th century BC. The 10 day workshops will cover both Selinunte and surrounding areas including the fishing harbours at Sciacca or San Vito Lo Capo. (Pictures and Gallery)
